HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF ESOGÜ FACULTY OF ENGINEERING AND ARCHITECTURE
Our faculty was established in 1970 under the name Eskişehir State Academy of Engineering and Architecture, and began its educational activities with a total of 160 students in the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. In 1982, with the enactment of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, it was affiliated with the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Anadolu University and continued its educational activities at the Bademlik Campus.
Following the enactment of Decree Law No. 496, published in the Official Gazette No. 21672 on August 18, 1993, the Faculties of Medicine, Engineering-Architecture, and Arts and Sciences, along with health-related vocational schools, were incorporated into the newly established Osmangazi University in Eskişehir. With the law No. 5379, enacted on July 1, 2005, the university was renamed Eskişehir Osmangazi University.

Our faculty currently offers education in 13 departments:
- In 6 departments, educational activities began in 1980 or earlier,
- In 1 department between 1981–1990,
- In 2 departments between 1991–2000,
- In 4 department after 2000.
